Liggett Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Liggett Group ( LIG-it), formerly known as Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, is the fourth-largest tobacco company in the United States. Its headquarters are located in Durham, North Carolina, though its manufacturing facility is 30 miles to the west in Mebane, North Carolina. The company is a subsidiary of the holding company Vector Group.

A member of TOBACCO REVIEWS WEB FORUM shared some thoughts about Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company - Good Old Summer-Time: "The mildly savory, rugged Virginias provide a lot of tarts and tangy citrus, plenty of hay, straw and grass, some sugar, toasted bread, floralness, mild spice, small hints of tangy darker fruit, and light earth, acidity, and wood. The toasted, earthy, woody, nutty, mildly sour burley plays a small role. There is a small smoky note that may come from the processing or possibly the aging process as this sample was made in 1945. The strength, nic-hit, and taste levels are media. Won’t bite or get harsh, but it does sport a few rough edges. Being a thin shag cut, it burns rather quickly, and a tad warm with a very consistent, richly sweet and savory, rugged flavor that translates to the short-lived, pleasant after taste. The room note is a step stronger. Barely leaves any dampness in the bowl, and hardly requires any relights. An all-day, mildly complex smoke that has a little body. Can be used for cigarettes and according to the tin, chewing, too. Don’t think I’ll try that"

"This box isn't big enough. But let's start with every minute of your life is micro managed. You are CONSTANTLY hanging for your life on ladders, out in the elements. A lot of overnights. A lot of overnights. A lot of overnights. Management is arrogant about there less than 1% market share and force you to burn relationships. Management is also very unethical and will tell you that you are not allowed having a personal life. This company is not for millennial's. No opportunity for advancement."

"Just a dead-end job. The driving required is absurd, some days I would put in 3-4 hundred miles. Your job consisted of replacing old cigarette signs with new cigarette signs. The brand they sell is so low grade that it's like pulling teeth to get merchants just to try the tobacco. Worked in Southern New England so I too had the pleasure (not) of working with the crusty old man, what a horrible boss!"

"Travel is long, management is lacking in understanding it's team members, no team training or team building. Work-life balance is an extremely difficult task with workload. Tough working for the smallest tobacco company...customers recognize this organization as "the bottom of the barrel". Account coverage is limited."

"The management team has some good folks there, and they have some really poor management types acting like they can't be smelled a mile away in higher up positions. They give you a job description, then immediately throw you into a different job without the pay. Really glad we went our separate ways.
